Our advice

proper use

Here’s what you can do with your Augarde watch, and what you shouldn’t do.

YES
  • Temperature variations in normal use
  • Prolonged exposure to perspiration: but possible alteration of the leather strap
  • Wearing during manual or sporting activities
  • Diving or boating: your Augarde watch is water-resistant to 50m.
However, in the event of immersion in seawater, we recommend rinsing with a soft cloth soaked in fresh, slightly lukewarm water to avoid salt deposits.
NO
  • Extreme conditions of temperature variation, i.e. below -15° or above +40°.
  • Prolonged exposure to soaps, perfumes and creams
  • Prolonged exposure to detergents

THE BRACELET

The lifespan of a bracelet (leather or silicone) depends on the conditions and frequency of wear.

LEATHER BRACELET

Avoid contact with water.
We do not recommend the use of leather care products to clean or restore the luster of a bracelet.

In summer, a leather bracelet is subjected to more external aggression (exposure to sunlight, heat…) and UV rays can affect its coloring.
We therefore recommend temporarily replacing your leather bracelet with a silicone one during this period.

SILICONE STRAP

No special care is required for your silicone bracelet. However  you can clean it with a soft cloth and soapy water.
After rinsing, dry with a soft, dry cloth.

CHANGE YOUR BRACELET

Augarde watches feature an innovative system for quick strap changes.
Equipped with a manually-operated pin, the flash pump makes it easy to change your watch’s strap yourself, without tools .

The battery

Your quartz watch should not be left with a flat battery, as this could damage the movement.
We recommend that you have your quartz watch serviced every year to change the battery and check the water-resistance.
